Following on from the amazing success of the Riduna Radio Advent Calendar funding raising event in December, on Friday night last week Riduna Radio, Alderney’s exclusively online broadcaster, hosted a charity bingo night in aid of Diabetes Guernsey.

Diabetes Guernsey is a local charity which aims to help people to 'live well' with diabetes. They aim to support people with all types of diabetes and their families all over the Bailiwick of Guernsey.

A packed Island Hall thoroughly enjoyed a great night of bingo with a top prize of £500 for one lucky winner together with loads of amazing raffle prizes and an amazing chocolate cake raffle.

Commenting on the night Station Manager Ian Taylor said he was ‘overwhelmed by how the island and beyond have become truly involved in the fun we are creating with over 12,000 people worldwide listening to our eclectic blend of music.” Mr Taylor went on to say that “it was far beyond our expectations to raise over £1000 for Diabetes Guernsey. A huge amount of credit has to go to Mimi House and her Team for making the event possible."

Taking into account the fantastic Christmas Advent donations, last Friday night brings Riduna Radio's local charity donations to over £3000 thanks to the amazing support they get from the residents on Alderney for the benefit of everyone on Alderney.

Riduna Radio can be listened to world-wide via Google Play and iOS App downloads, on Alexa or through www.riduna-radio.com
