Following the success of the Charities Fayre last year, the President of the States of Alderney has been asked to organise the Fayre again this year.
"As I have said repeatedly during my time in Office, the Charities, Clubs and Organisations are the glue that holds the community together and they contribute
massively to the rich and varied life we are privileged to lead," said William Tate.
"For their continued success it is important that we showcase what is on offer and invite new volunteers to come forward to ensure the long-term sustainability of the
sector."
This year the President’s Fayre for Charities, Clubs and Organisations will be held in the Island Hall on Saturday the 28th of September between 1030 and 1230 hrs.
Everyone is invited to attend either as a prospective new member or to offer to volunteer.
Representatives of the Association of Guernsey Charities will also be on hand to offer guidance on issues including funding, volunteering and governance.
There will be something for everybody. Again, tea and sumptuous cakes will be available.
"Please support the sector," said Mr Tate.
If you have not already done so please contact Gill in The President’s Office to book a table.
