Parkinson’s Guernsey, a charity dedicated to supporting individuals with Parkinson's and their loved ones, is thrilled to have celebrated its 3rd anniversary since its inception on 1st October 2020.

To mark this significant milestone, we were honoured to hold a special “Talk of the Month” on Monday 2nd October at KGV with our patron Louise Cripwell who presented an informal chat entitled "Cup Half Full" about her personal experience of loved ones affected by Parkinson’s and other chronic and progressive conditions. Her talk provided inspiration, hope, and practical insights for all members and friends who were present.

Over the past three years, Parkinson’s Guernsey has worked hard to improve the quality of life for those living with Parkinson's in the Bailiwick, including loved ones and carers. Our charity has expanded its offering of mobility and exercise classes and introduced a regular new feature, the “Talk of the Month”, at which a speaker presents a subject of interest. Our next Talk of the Month on Monday 6th November will focus on “Speech and Language Challenges Associated with Parkinson’s”.

"We are immensely grateful for the support of our Patron, Louise Cripwell, and the Parkinson’s community as a whole as we mark our third anniversary," said Peter Neville Chairman of Parkinson’s Guernsey. "Our aim is to continue expanding our offer of support, ensuring that those affected by Parkinson's have access to the resources they need for a better quality of life."
