Offshore Accounting has been awarded Training Employer status by the Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales (ICAEW). The privately-owned accountancy and consultancy practice based in the Channel Islands has also taken on a new staff member who will be trained through ICAEW.
Offshore Accounting Managing Director Will Morgan says that the company now employs ACCA and ACA accountants, at fully, part qualified and trainee level, and believes this move offers prospective trainees a wider choice of route to an accounting qualification:
‘The ICAEW Chartered Accountant qualification, the ACA, is one of the most advanced learning and professional development programmes available. It is valued around the world in business, practice and the public sector. It has integrated components that give an in-depth understanding across accountancy, finance and business. Together they help build the knowledge, skills and experience to perform to the highest level. Trainees will be getting the best possible start as an understanding of these key factors is highly valued in any role, and in any organisation and Offshore is delighted to be in a position to offer this.’
Kelson Seepaul, who joined Offshore this month as an ICAEW trainee, was born and educated in Guernsey and has worked as a Trust and Company administrator for two years where he was responsible for a large and varied portfolio of clients handling their day-to-day requirements.
