Local jeweller Becky Rowe has designed the trophy that will be awarded to the winner of the Heritage Festival’s window display competition. Becky’s design, which was manufactured by Atec Engineering, has a suitably local theme and a contemporary striking style.
VisitGuernsey is staging the Heritage Festival themed window display competition In conjunction with Collaborate Communications,. Shop owners islandwide have been asked to capture the spirit of the island’s history in imaginative and fun, colourful and thought-provoking displays that will transform both St Peter Port and out of town shopping areas.
The Heritage Festival is a real celebration of a group of small islands with a big history and includes all the Channel Islands. Alderney, Sark and Herm are all getting involved in this initiative too, as each has its own unique story to tell.
VisitGuernsey has been supplying all participating retailers with posters to promote the competition and encourage people to vote, along with voting postcards and window stickers.
Islanders and visitors will be able to vote for their favourite, by post or online, with prizes for both the winning retailer and one lucky voter.
Our past is woven into its present and Becky is pleased to play a part in the celebrations of what makes our islands so special. This bespoke trophy is something the winning retailer can be proud to display in their window for the next 12 months.
