On Saturday 25th May a white and black cat was hit by a car and rushed to the vets.
Amballes as the cat has been named was rescued by the GSPCA Warden on Les Amballes in St Peter Port and sadly has no chip or owner come forward.
The cat has been at the vets since Saturday and requires a huge amount of surgery to survive.
You can donate to her much needed operation by visiting – https://giving.gg/donate/event/4658/Help-Amabelles--the-loving-stray-cat-s-operation-at-the-GSPCA
Although it is a huge operation Isabelle Vets have massively reduced the costs to a fixed price of £1000 and we are appealing for support to help with this much needed surgery.
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “Amballes is a very lucky cat.”
“So many cats are hit by cars and don’t survive.”
“Amballes was rushed to Isabelle Vets on Saturday and has been in intensive care for the last week.”
“We have been unable to find an owner and she now requires a huge operation on her pelvis that thanks to the vets will cost a fixed amount of £1000 and we are appealing for donations towards this very friendly and loving stray cat.”
Isabelle Vet Dr Doreen Ford BVMS CertSAS MRCVS said “Ambelles needs a plate in its right ileum and possibly a screw at the sacro-iliac joint.”
“She is a lovely little cat.”
“It is hard to believe no one has come forward.“
Steve continued “If you can donate to Amballes operation please visit https://giving.gg/donate/event/4658/Help-Amabelles--the-loving-stray-cat-s-operation-at-the-GSPCA , call 01481 257261, pop into the Shelter in St Andrews or by post GSPCA, Rue des Truchots, St Andrews, GY6 8UD .”
“We will of course keep you up to date on her progress.”
