The Duke of Richmond Hotel has received a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence for the fifth year running and has been admitted to the travel website's Hall of Fame.

In its first year, the Hall of Fame has been established to mark the fifth anniversary of TripAdvisor’s Certificates of Excellence Awards, and recognises businesses that have earned a Certificate of Excellence for five consecutive years.  The Hall of Fame consists of just two percent of businesses on TripAdvisor.

The four-star Duke of Richmond is part of the Red Carnation Hotel Collection which last week saw 13 of its 17 hotels worldwide reach the Hall of Fame, which they say is a higher proportion than any other UK hotel group. The group’s other hotel in Guernsey, The Old Government House Hotel & Spa, was also recognised, receiving TripAdvisor’s Certificate of Excellence for 2015.

Jonathan Raggett, Managing Director of Red Carnation Hotels said: “Red Carnation Hotels are thrilled to have so many of our properties welcomed in to TripAdvisor’s inaugural Hall of Fame. Winning year after year, together with the high rankings our hotels enjoy, has had a very positive impact on our business, helping us stand out from the competition in each of the locations we operate in.

"We are firm believers in the transparency of online guest reviews, which challenges us every day to deliver exceptional service and incredible guest experiences. These awards are a great source of pride for the entire team at Red Carnation Hotels and we would like to thank all of our guests who have taken the time to complete a review on TripAdvisor.”

Andrew Chantrell, General Manager of The Duke of Richmond Hotel, said: “Being included in the inaugural Hall of Fame is fantastic recognition of the team’s hard work and dedication to customer service. It’s not only great news for us, but also for Guernsey."
