Also available for questions during the day Specsavers Opticians and James Lihou, Specialist Diabetic Chiropodist.
Doors open at 10.30 am with first speaker at 11am. Finish at 3.30-4pm. There will be a climbing wall and games for children and refreshments throughout the day, with a light lunch provided. The charity aims to help people to live well with diabetes. There are 3500 individuals living with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes within the Bailiwick. Approximately 500 live with Type 1 and approximately 3000 live with Type 2.
Our ambition is to provide support to people living with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes and their families. We want to ensure that people in Guernsey and Alderney living with diabetes and their families have the right emotional and practical support, and we do this by raising awareness of diabetes and providing education.
The charity raises funds to achieve our goals in supporting anyone impacted by the condition by putting on various fundraising events to ensure we can provide support and education for all.
