Deloitte has made 45 promotions across its Channel Islands team this month.

The promotions highlight Deloitte’s exceptional training programmes and the firm’s approach to merit, rather than time-based career development.

Hastings Chakanyuka, Mubashir Shaikh and Ana Once have been made Senior Manager in Jersey, along with Nadine Cockburn in Guernsey who joined the firm as a graduate.

James Carolan, who joined the firm as a graduate, Elizabeth Cunanan, Mahesh Kumar, Jamie McClure, Talent Sanyamahwe, Marion Buxton and Safia Shaikh have all been promoted to the role of Manager in Jersey.

Four of the team in Guernsey, Lynette Kutadza, Blessing Mawango, Edward Osborne and Christina Seed, have also attained the level of Manager in the professional services firm.

‘We pride ourselves on our excellent career progression opportunities, for graduates and experienced hires, and growing talent across all areas of the practice. The promotions are a testament not only to their hard work but also to the market demand for people with proven skills and diverse experience, ‘ says Jo Huxtable, People and Purpose Partner for the Channel Islands, based in Guernsey.

A further 31 people in both islands have been promoted to Assistant Manager across the three stages of that role.

Siobhan Durcan, a Partner at Deloitte in Jersey, says: ‘We work hard at Deloitte to nurture our people and help them reach their potential. It is fantastic to be celebrating these individuals’ well-deserved promotions. Our early development and trainee programmes give young talent the chance to flourish.’
