David Becker has been promoted to become a partner at Deloitte LLP and will continue to work in the organisation’s Guernsey office.
David joined Deloitte 18 years ago as a graduate and qualified as an accountant in 1999. Since that time he has become a financial services audit specialist and also leads the offshore insurance practice and the Guernsey real estate group. In addition, David leads the offshore transaction services team. He first saw an opportunity to develop this sector of business in 2005 when listing requirements for UK-listed investment companies changed. Since then David has been responsible for the impressive growth of Deloitte’s transactions services practice, with over 40 transactions completed in the last 10 years.
David is ACA qualified and holds a diploma in Investment Management. He is also a member of the Guernsey International Insurance Association (GIIA) Regulatory and Technical Committee and the Guernsey Society of Chartered and Certified Accountants (GSCCA) training committee.
‘Going forward I will be focused on growing the transactions services team,’ explains David Becker. ‘We have great expertise in this area and I hope to grow the business through my relationships and contacts as well as close links to our London practice. I also want to develop our fantastic senior management team, in the same way that I was given huge support by other partners, which has boosted my career development.’
Across the three offshore offices, Deloitte employs more than 160 professionals and over 14,000 in the UK.
