Local risk management expert, Max Hilton, Managing Director of Clarus Risk, has been invited to speak at an event in London organised by FundDomiciles.com.
The Global Fund Domiciles & Governance Forum 2014 takes place on Thursday 30 January at Browns Courtrooms in London and will examine key fund governance and servicing issues currently facing the asset management industry through a series of presentations and discussion panels.
Max will be one of three panellists leading a session entitled “Risk Management in the AIFMD era”.
Other sessions will consider: the impact that the AIFMD and other regulatory changes have had on fund domiciliation; what 2014 might bring in relation to alternative fund governance; and, a review of corporate governance reforms in the Cayman Islands.
Max commented:
‘I am delighted to be involved with this event and to discuss what is a contentious and timely issue for many offshore funds.
The AIFMD is expected to have a significant impact on the composition of boards, domiciliation patterns and corporate governance practices - particularly for self-managed alternative investment funds. This event offers the opportunity to explore how the industry as a whole is reacting.’
Max joins Mike Howell, CEO of Cross Border Capital and Bill Prew, Founder and CEO of Indos Financial on the discussion panel.
