Clameur Du Cinéma is screening the Oscar nominated, animated, documentary Flee (2021).
Showing at The Princess Royal Centre for Performing Arts on 10 May, Flee centres on Amin, an Afghan refugee living in Denmark, who decides to tell his finally tell his story to his future husband.
Directed by Jonas Poher Rasmussen, Flee had won multiple awards and was nominated for Best Documentary Feature, Best Animated Feature Film and Best International Feature Film at the 2022 Academy Awards.
Wynter Tyson, the organiser of Clameur Du Cinéma, said “I’m really pleased to be screening Flee. Not only is it an accomplished animated film that expands our understanding of the documentary format but it also tells a compelling human story about a subject that deserves a more human face than traditionally given in the media.”
Clameur Du Cinéma’s profits from this screening will be donated to the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.

Flee is being screened at 7.30pm, Tuesday 10 May 2021 at the Princess Royal Centre for Performing Arts. Tickets cost £7, £5 or £10 and can be booked via www.guernseytickets.gg or in person at the PRCPA box office. The film is rated 15. Subtitled.
