The Association of Guernsey Charities welcomes Daniel Chan MBE to the Island and invites members to its 2024 AGM and an earlier session for those involved with charity finances.
The Association of Guernsey Charities is inviting its members to register for the 2024 AGM, being held on Monday 15th April, 7pm, at the Princess Royal Centre for Performing Arts.
The event is a chance for members to learn about developments at the AGC and hear future plans.
We welcome Daniel Chan MBE as the guest speaker for this year's AGM. In addition to being a Director of PWC UK, leading their work for and with charities, Dan has first hand experience of being a trustee of local and national organisations.
His lunch time session will focus on charity finance, aimed specifically at those involved with finances for charities when we’ll also hear of the Guernsey Registry’s views on future local requirements. His presentation as part of the AGM in the evening will cover wider issues of interest to Trustees from his personal and professional experiences.
Wayne Bulpitt, AGC Chair, says “We are delighted that Daniel Chan MBE is joining us for the day and will be sharing his distinct experiences at two events, one at lunchtime targeted at those working or volunteering in charities with responsibilities for finances and, at the AGM, Dan will be sharing his wider experiences and observations on the challenges charities face and solutions available.”
In addition, we will be sharing with members the highlights of the recent Charity & NPO Sector Survey and our plans to support them in addressing the challenges highlighted.
