Carey Olsen has advised Fidante Partners, the boutique funds management division of Australian firm Challenger Limited, on its acquisition of alternative investment group Dexion Capital Holdings Limited.
Carey Olsen partner David Crosland and senior associate Chris Hutley-Hurst worked alongside international law firm Weil Gotshal & Manges, advising on all elements of Guernsey corporate and regulatory law.
The transaction marks a significant expansion into Europe for boutique fund manager Fidante Partners and is part of a strategic move to grow the firm's product offering and global distribution in line with investors' increased appetite for alternative investment classes.
David Crosland said: "Alternative assets are the fastest growing investment sector and Guernsey has long been at the forefront of this industry.
"This deal for Dexion highlights the growing importance of this asset class and we are very pleased to have supported Fidante in this significant step-up in their European presence."
