C5 Alliance has been shortlisted in the prestigious Guernsey Awards for Achievement in the Innovation Award category.

This category looks to identify and reward local organisations that have demonstrated how the application of an innovative approach to product development, business processes or new technology has enabled business objectives to be exceeded.

Marc Lainé, managing director of C5 in Guernsey, said innovation for the company is a habit.

“As a technology company, our approach itself is innovative. We believe in delivering the right solutions for our clients, not the most profitable solution for C5. By partnering with an organisation to deliver real business benefit through innovation we can develop truly ground-breaking solutions. Our solutions are bespoke to each client and it is through our discovery process that we are able to truly innovate in producing systems," he said.

The Awards for Achievement team commented that the three companies shortlisted in this category impressed the judges with their innovative use of technology to enhance the customer product and experience whilst delivering a superior level of customer service.

Deputy Al Brouard, Deputy Minister for Commerce and Employment and Chair of the Guernsey Business of the Year Award judging panel said: “Running a business is about remaining competitive and differentiating yourself from the competition. This year’s shortlist proves that the healthy spirit of competition, achievement and success is very much alive and well in Guernsey.”

The awards will be presented at the annual gala evening to be held at Beau Sejour on 5 February 2015.
