Local PR and events agency, Black Vanilla, raised £2,000 for Vive La Vallette at a recent charity bingo night.
Ticket sales and all proceeds raised during the evening went to the much-loved charity and the funds will be used to support the continued redevelopment and maintenance of the La Vallette area.
Since the bathing pools redevelopment project launched in 2019, La Vallette has become a popular community space and a treasured part of the seafront.
The event included a raffle with generous prize donations from local businesses, artists and individuals.
Helen Bonner-Morgan, Community Lead at Vive La Vallette, said: ‘Vive La Vallette is very grateful for the support from Black Vanilla. The donations raised at the bingo night ensure the site remains well cared for and can provide opportunities for a wide breadth of community members to access activities that enhance their health and well-being.
‘We greatly appreciate all our sponsors for recognising the value of this initiative and for helping maintain a vibrant and relevant community venue and much-loved Guernsey landmark.’
Nichole Culverwell, Agency Director of Black Vanilla, said: ‘As a team, we love the bathing pools for swimming, events and even team meetings. We all decided that our fundraising event should support a community hub that we get so much enjoyment from.
‘We want to thank everyone who came along and donated so generously, and all the generous raffle donations as well. Everyone enjoyed the evening which also showcased the wonderful cafe and terrace that we now have at the Bathing Pools.’
