Black Rock Combat Sports, a leading martial arts academy in Guernsey, has announced its upcoming 24-Hour Charity Fightathon, a unique event to raise funds for a worthy cause and support local fighters.
Scheduled to kick off at 6:00 PM on Friday, 13th October, and conclude at 6:00 PM on Saturday, 14th October, the event will test the endurance and dedication of Black Rock participants as they engage in various martial arts activities non-stop for 24 hours.
The primary objective of the 24-Hour Charity Fightathon is to raise funds, with 50% of the proceeds being donated to the Guernsey Alzheimer’s Association, a cause close to the hearts of the organisers at Black Rock Combat Sports. The Guernsey Alzheimer's Association is dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by Alzheimer's disease and advancing research efforts to combat this debilitating condition.
The other 50% of the funds generated through this event will be donated to the Black Rock fight team. These dedicated local fighters face significant logistical and financial challenges due to Guernsey's remote location, which translates to steep flight and travel expenses. These funds will provide invaluable support to the fight team, enabling them to travel and bring opponents to Guernsey, further enhancing their competitive opportunities and representation.
Black Rock is also offering an exciting opportunity for corporate and private bookings. You can book sessions for up to 16 people for an hour at a rate of £120. Participants can choose from various disciplines, including boxing, kickboxing, MMA, Muay Thai, or Jiu-Jitsu. These sessions promise to be fun and challenging, making it an excellent team-building activity for businesses while contributing to a great cause.
All funds will be evenly divided between the charity fighters' travel expenses, with none being retained by the business.
