Members of the Bailiwick of Guernsey Guild of Accredited Guides are once again getting prepared for another exciting Autumn Walking Festival.

Starting on September 14th and spanning over 16 days, a jam-packed schedule of guiding walking tours has been put together with 35 tours on offer, including a number of  brand new routes for 2024.

All tours are given a level of difficulty (easy, moderate and hike) and an indication of how long it will take and the distance covered. We aim to provide an interesting and varied programme with walks taking place across Guernsey, Herm and Sark and with a wide variety of subject matters.

Some of the new tours this Autumn include a tour of Batterie Scharnhorst with Amanda Johns, a walk around the Les Vardes quarry with Andy Walker, a seaweed foraging tour with Dave Bartram, Bryan Pill and Nev Jehan, discovering Grandes Rocques Bay with Korinne Le Page and a fascinating Occupation tour around the Bridge with Jo May and local historian Nick Le Huray.

We are also very pleased to announce that after a very successful debut of his wheelchair town tour in the Spring, Bryan Pill is repeating this tour for this festival as well as introducing a new accessible tour, exploring Fort George.

Other wheelchair friendly tours are marked as such on the full schedule, which also includes information regarding meeting points, bus routes, pricing and booking instructions.

There are brochures available at the Guernsey Information Centre and online at: https://www.visitguernsey.com/experiences/events/autumn-walking-festival/
