Waitrose supports local animal charity

Waitrose has continued to support the GSPCA, donating both time and money.

Teams of volunteers from the local stores spent two days helping the charity, carrying out a number of tasks including painting the fences around the site.

The company also donated £560 towards items needed to carry out the work.

"All of the Waitrose Partners who volunteered at the GSPCA were such a fabulous help and we really appreciate all that they did," said the charity's Training and Community Officer, Tim Pellett.

"There is so much that needs to be done each day at the GSPCA. We love to hear from those that can help us from gardening to painting, caring for animals to fundraising."

Manager of the GSPCA Steve Byrne added: "We are hugely grateful to both Waitrose stores who are supporting us in so many ways. The work and the donation from the Waitrose team is so appreciated and we cannot thank them enough."
