Waitrose raise £1,000 for Carers Guernsey

Monday 03 June 2019

Liberation day was a great success for Waitrose volunteers selling tea, coffee and cake in the NAAFI tent.

The 20 volunteers from the supermarkets in Guernsey raised more than £1,000 for local charity Carers Guernsey.

They were selling all day in the tent.

Carers Guernsey provides advocacy, emotional and practical support for those who informally care for family or friends who require additional help due to illness or disability.

Waitrose have now donated the money to the charity.
