VisitGuernsey has launched a Chatbot on its Facebook page to bolster its "customer service experience".
The Chatbot messenger service will work alongside the current human-generated responses in order to reply to enquiries from people and answer some of their frequently asked questions.
It works 24/7, and can be helpful for people enquiring about a holiday from a different time zone.
The Chatbot is designed to help visitors plan their trip and suggests different things to do. For example, if you wanted to look through activities it can send images and link to events taking place across the Bailiwick.
It also asks users for their interests from a series of programmed answers and replies with specific places and experiences that should appeal to them.
