Travelmaker shortlisted for industry award

Friday 05 June 2020

Channel Islands Travelmaker has been named one of the top travel agencies in the British Isles by the Travel Trade Gazette for the fifth consecutive year.

It beat more than 500 travel agencies from across the UK and Ireland to be named runners up in the National Touring Award and the Guernsey Travelmaker team were also shortlisted for Best in the South West and as one of the top 50 travel agencies in the UK.

Carl Winn, head of Travelmaker, said: “We are delighted to once again be recognised as one of the top travel agencies in the UK by the Travel Trade Gazette. We have been recognised every year since the awards were started five years ago and that is a real credit to the team and their hard work, expertise and fantastic customer service.”

The Travel Trade Gazette is the UK and Ireland’s leading travel industry magazine, published weekly since 1953.

TTG group editor, Pippa Jacks, said: “Now in its fifth year, our TTG Top 50 Travel Agencies initiative sees us scour the UK and Ireland to find the hardest-working, most committed and most successful travel agency businesses in the land.

“The travel industry is currently facing a monumental challenge, but the coronavirus crisis has created an opportunity for the nation’s best travel agencies - those that offer their customers extraordinary service, expertise and support their local communities – to shine.

"Each agency that earned a place in our Top 50 list this year worked hard to impress our judges and should feel incredibly proud of what they have achieved.”
