Sustainability firm launches new climate reporting tool for businesses

Wednesday 01 November 2023

ESI Monitor, which advises firms on sustainability, have launched a new reporting tool to assist companies with a Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) obligations.

With TCFD on the agenda for all UK companies over the next few years, ESI say this tool will be vital for businesses attempting the “complicated” reporting process for emissions data across several asset classes.

The tool’s development lead, Sylvie Laine, said it would be a “game-changer for all businesses” no matter their maturity or familiarity with climate related disclosures.

“We’ve taken a long and complicated process and transformed it into a streamlined and accessible journey."

The tool takes a logical approach to compliance by converting the reporting process into a question-and-answer format. Users are guided through a series of multiple-choice questions and open-ended queries, offering an interactive experience.

It also provides templates to eliminate guesswork and to ensure the final report is comprehensive and compliant.

"We're extremely excited about the transformative potential of this tool," Ms Laine added. "By making TCFD reporting accessible and straightforward, we're empowering companies to be proactive, not just compliant, in their sustainability efforts."

With its recent ISO 27001 certification, ESI Monitor assures potential users that the tool meets the highest standards of information security.
