Wednesday 04 March 2020

Saffery Champness Registered Fiduciaries has today announced the appointment of Sean Walsh as an Associate Director based in the firm’s Guernsey office.

Bringing with him more than 20 years of fiduciary experience, his experience includes asset protection and succession planning, the establishment and governance of structures ranging from trusts and private trust companies to special purpose vehicles, managing complex assets such as art, businesses and landed estates, and the provision of family office services.

At Saffery Champness, Mr Walsh will oversee a team specialising in the management and operation of offshore structures for UHNW individuals across a number of key international jurisdictions, including the UK, Europe and the Middle East.

Nick Batiste, Managing Director of Saffery Champness Registered Fiduciaries in Guernsey, said: “We are continuing to see a rising demand for fiduciary services from international wealth which requires, for a myriad of reasons ranging from geo-political uncertainty to complex and often cross-border business and familial interests, the peace of mind that comes from utilising independent professional advisers and efficient structures based in secure jurisdictions.

"Sean is a welcome addition to the firm at this time of growth. His experience and expertise, particularly in family office services and in key geographies such as the Middle East, will further enhance our offering to clients and reinforces our position as an adviser of choice for ultra-high-net-worth individuals, their families and their businesses.”

Sean Walsh, Associate Director at Saffery Champness said: “Saffery Champness is synonymous with excellence in private client service and I’m looking forward to helping continue the development of that reputation, in close partnership with my new colleagues across the firm.”
