Resolution IT raises £10,000+ for good causes

Wednesday 21 March 2018

A year of fundraising by specialist outsourced IT technology provider, Resolution IT, has seen the company raise over £10,000 for a range of local good causes.

As part of its 10-year celebrations, the company decided to set itself '10 Challenges' throughout the year and with all successfully completed, Resolution IT has been able to donate both funds and time to the charities, all of which were nominated by staff.

Joint Managing Director, Steve Brehaut, said: "Olly Duquemin and I set up Resolution IT 10 years ago. Over the past decade we became the first company in Guernsey to become a Microsoft Small Business Specialist, first to be awarded Microsoft Gold Small and Midmarket Cloud Solutions Partner, first to be awarded with Cyber Essentials certification, moved to purpose-build premises to house our growing staff numbers and opened offices in Dubai. We're also the only IT company in the Channel Islands listed in the top 500 IT Managed Service Providers in the world, at 40th in the top European, Middle East and Africa."

"We felt these were definitely milestones to celebrate so came up with a series of challenges and set ourselves a target of £10,000 which we're thrilled to have surpassed. We entered teams in the This is Epic Week, Guernsey Marathon, the Swimarathon and the Santa Fun Run. Some of us even had our legs waxed and ate indescribable animal body parts for our very own Bushtucker Trial. We've also helped clear undergrowth around St Saviours Community Centre and helped St Johns Ambulance Service with their IT requirements."

"It's great that now we are able to help so many local good causes and we are now looking forward to the next 10 years!"

The charities supported by Resolution IT are:

  • Bulstrode House

  • Headway

  • Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation

  • Bright Tights

  • Red Nose Day

  • This is EPIC

  • Pink Ladies

  • MIND Guernsey

  • St Johns Ambulance

  • KGV

  • Lions Club

  • Round Table

  • St Saviours Community Centre
