RBC Wealth Management employees have raised more than £12,000 for their nominated 2018 Charity of the Year - Male Uprising Guernsey.
Staff held a number of fundraising events including a winter ball raffle, Bermuda Shorts Week, office furniture donations and bake sales.
MUG aims to raise awareness and promote education around the symptoms and treatment of prostate, bowel and testicular cancers as well as helping men be more confident, outgoing and vigilant about their health. It will use the money from RBC Wealth Management to support a health awareness campaign, encouraging local men to seek medical advice for symptoms as soon as possible, rather than putting off making an appointment.
"We've really enjoyed working with RBC Wealth Management and we have greatly valued all the employees' enthusiasm and efforts," said Dan Collins from the charity. "The donation is incredibly important to improve early diagnosis and to promote grassroots education around the symptoms and treatment of prostate, bowel and testicular cancers in Guernsey."
Managing Director at RBC Wealth Management, Lisa Barnett added: "We're delighted to have partnered with MUG as our Charity of the Year for 2018. It's great to see that the funds will be deployed in a way that significantly raises awareness of these cancers and benefits islanders now and in the future."
The company has selected the HUB as its chosen charity for 2019.
