Praxis Guernsey has announced that a new man will lead the firm’s private wealth and corporate services division.
James Wiseman has been appointed Managing Director after returning to the Channel Islands, bringing decades of experience in global finance from Luxembourg to Singapore with him.
Leading a team of 80, he will be responsible for developing the existing private wealth and corporate services business by collaborating closely with colleagues across international finance centres and strengthening connections with the firm’s network of professional advisers.
More change comes later this year as the firm moves from Le Truchot to Regency Court. The relocation will see 130 staff from the private wealth and corporate services, yacht services, and pension and employer solutions teams, as well as colleagues who deliver support to the global Praxis Group, move to new open plan office space.
Mr Wiseman commented: “Despite the challenging and volatile external environment, the firm has remained steadfastly committed to its core values. I am looking forward to this fresh challenge and working alongside the established management team in expanding our service offering in the corporate administration and private client spaces.
“Praxis has ambitious plans to grow its core offering alongside exploiting new markets and I am very much looking forward to being part of that journey.”
Praxis Group CEO Rob Fearis added: “It’s great to welcome James to the team. His extensive experience and leadership will be instrumental as we continue to enhance our services and expand our global footprint”.
