Guernsey and Jersey's postal services have joined forces for a third successive year to support the annual, junior inter-island cricket matches.
The Under 11’s and Under 13’s matches will take place at FB Fields in Jersey on Saturday 29 June, and the Under 15’s match will take place at the Elizabeth College Field on Saturday 6 July.
“We are very pleased to continue our support of these matches for a further year," said Boley Smillie, Chief Executive at Guernsey Post. "Guernsey has a strong community focus and supporting young, sporting talent in our Island not only helps to secure the future of cricket in the Island, but also reinforces the sense of community in the younger generation.”
Tim Brown, Chief Executive at Jersey Post, said: “I’m very pleased that we are able to work alongside Guernsey Post in order to support this initiative for a third successive year. We both believe that supporting the game at grass roots level is essential for the future of the sport at senior level in both islands.”
The matches are expected to be closely fought contests and spectators are welcome to attend. All of the matched will start at 11:00 and should finish around 17:00. The trophies will be presented at the respective pavilions shortly after the matches finish.
