Plans to protect the posties from COVID threat

Wednesday 11 March 2020

Guernsey Post has taken steps to protect its staff from the threat of Coronavirus after the island saw its first patient confirmed to have COVID-19.

The utility said it has taken advice from health professionals which it has implemented immediately.

The changes which have been introduced include not allowing customers to sign for their own parcels either during a home delivery or at the mail collection counters at local post offices. Staff will sign for you instead.

Guernsey Post will also use your safe place to deliver any goods even if you are at home during the time of delivery.
