Ogier has been named ‘Best Offshore Law Firm’ at the recent WealthBriefing European Awards 2019.
Partners Sally Edwards and Nick Williams were at the event at the Guildhall in London on 11 April to collect the award on behalf of the firm's global contentious and non-contentious private client teams.
It is the second time in the past three years that Ogier has won the award, triumphing above four other shortlisted firms having impressed judges with a submission built around progress against the firm's innovation agenda and growth over the last 12 months.
Comments made by the judging panel included: "This innovative and truly international firm has the expertise where it counts. Developments around fintech and its jurisdictional reach also impressed."
The award comes shortly after Ogier was named Offshore/Regional Law Firm of the Year in the Legal Business Awards.
"We're very pleased to have won this award and been recognised in this way by WealthBriefing," said Partner and Head of Ogier Guernsey's Private Client & Trusts team, Gavin Ferguson. "The award marks 12 months of success in reaching into new markets, innovation in client service, and growth in our teams."
Since the start of the year, Ogier has announced the arrival of three new partners amongst 31 legal hires across the group.
