New sponsor for Vikings

Shields & Rutland has agreed to sponsor St. Jacques Vikings rugby club for the next three years.

The new agreement will see the estate agent as one of the primary sponsors of the Vikings as it seeks to climb the English rugby ladder following their reintroduction to the main leagues this season

An aim of the Vikings is young player development, and with the additional support this will help the club continue to provide young players with a structured development pathway. 

Tim Roberts, Managing Director of Shields & Rutland, said: "It is a pleasure to support such a focused and motivated club at this exciting time. Having met James and some of the players, it quickly became apparent the effort they are putting in to ensure continued progress in the sport. 

“As a company we see parallels in their hard work and dedication to their craft. We take great pride in supporting local sport and look forward to seeing the teams achievements on the pitch.”  

James Mroch, St. Jacques Vikings Commercial & Sponsorship Manager, added: “We are overjoyed that Tim and the team at Shields & Rutland have decided to partner with the Vikings.  

“Their support is going to be instrumental in helping us achieve our goals over the next few seasons, and I hope we can repay their faith in the club with our performances out on the pitch.”
