A new association has been set up to champion the hospitality industry with a 'single powerful voice' to lobby local government.
The Guernsey Hospitality Association, which boasts 32 members, recently held its inaugural meeting at Hotel Jerbourg.
"In a very short space of time, the GHA has grown its membership and now represents the majority of the island's accommodation providers," said group president Alan Sillett. "With a strong and cohesive group, we are fast becoming a positive force for good for our sector, and tourism in general,"
"We look forward to working in partnership with the new Assembly to ensure the hospitality sector plays a fundamental role in the revive and thrive strategy."
At present, the GHA is focused on Guernsey's accommodation providers, but it hopes to represent all of the hospitality industry moving forward.
