New Head of Investec's Trust & Corporate Team

Investec Bank Limited has appointed Andy Smith as Head of the Trust & Corporate Team across the Channel Islands and Isle of Man.

Mr Smith joined the company in 2014 and has more than 20 years' experience of international banking in the local financial services sector.

"I am proud to be leading a very experienced team of banking professionals at Investec and by working in partnership with our clients, continue the significant business growth we have seen in our offshore jurisdictions," he said.

Chief Executive Brendan Stewart added: "We are delighted to announce this appointment. Andy brings a wealth of experience to our business and is committed to leading our teams in Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man in the entrepreneurial style that reflects our ethos."

As well as maintaining a keen interest in sport, Mr Smith is a Director of Macmillan Cancer Support Jersey.
