New Funeral Director at Beckford’s Funeral Services

Zac Hannis has recently joined Beckford’s Funeral Services as Funeral Director, having previously worked for the family-owned business as a pall-bearer.

Originally from Alderney, his previous employment experience includes gaining a trade in the construction industry whilst achieving a Diploma in Site Management. He has also had several spells volunteering at an orphanage in Ghana, Africa and is a committee member of St Pierre Park Golf Club.

Jane Duquemin, Managing Director of Beckford’s Funeral Services said: "On the rare occasions when we look to hire, we look for some very specific skills sets from applicants and Zac’s experience and life skills stood out. Being a Funeral Director is a way of life rather than a job and Zac has fitted in very quickly to the role."

Mr Hannis added: "From many years of pall-bearing, to ultimately becoming a Funeral Director, it’s been a long and varied association with funerals. It’s a real honour to be a part of people’s lives at such an intensely personal time and to feel you are making a supportive and positive difference. I feel incredibly lucky to have been appointed to such a rewarding role."
