Robert Trefny has joined the International Stock Exchange as the chair of its regulatory arm.
Mr Trefny will step into his new position on the 1 January 2021 and will take over from Charlie Geffen. Mr Trefny has 35 years' experience as a lawyer.
“I am delighted to be able to announce Rob as the new Chair of TISEA,” said Mr Geffen.
“Since taking the role myself, I have found it hugely rewarding and as an esteemed and experienced capital markets lawyer, Rob is ideally positioned to pick up the baton.”
Mr Trefny has spent more than a decade working in New York. In 1999 he moved to London to work as Capital Markets Partner at Clifford Chance.
