Mr Sykes had previously sat on the GIBA Executive Council as Deputy Chair and is the former Chairman of the Insurance Associations in Guernsey and Gibraltar.
Ms Peacegood is the former Chair of the Guernsey Investment and Funds Association (GIFA) and will be the first woman to take the Deputy Chair role at GIBA.
The outgoing Chair of GIBA – Paul Hodgson – will remain as Council Member.
Mr Sykes said: “GIBA plays a vital role in promoting Guernsey as a premier international financial centre, and I am committed to building on the strong foundation that has been established to ensure that our industry remains competitive, innovative, and responsive to the needs of our clients and stakeholders.”
