Nadia Hannis has joined Beckfords as Funeral Planning and Memorials Coordinator.

Ms Hannis has a background in health and social care.

Beckfords said that, having worked in both residential care and extra care housing, Ms Hannis has the qualities that are so important in her new role: she is caring, compassionate, efficient and genuinely interested in helping people.

Ms Hannis will be on hand to guide people planning their own funeral, but her main focus is assisting the bereaved organise headstones, cremation memorials and keepsakes.

She said: “There is such a huge range of options to choose from and as each of the local cemeteries has different requirements it can be quite daunting for the bereaved.

“Memorials are permanent reminders of loved ones through the ages so it’s essential that people get it right and that’s what I am here to help with.”

Jane Duquemin, Beckfords Non-Executive Director, said: “We have always been and will always be a family-oriented business and Nadia is already very much part of the Beckfords family, not least because she is married to Zac, our General Manager.”

Beckfords said that Ms Hannis is part of the next generation that will be instrumental in the company maintaining services founded on respect, care and professionalism.
