Local PR professional makes CIPR's top 70 list

Tuesday 27 November 2018

The Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) has included Orchard PR Founder and former Managing Director Steve Falla in a list of 70 members who’ve demonstrated an outstanding contribution to the CIPR and the wider PR community.

A former award-winning journalist, Mr Falla is a Chartered PR practitioner, a former executive board and council member of the CIPR, and a former Chair of the CIPR CI group.

The CIPR said: “Steve Falla is a self-confessed CIPR champion who wastes no opportunity to talk about the Chartered Institute and its role in professionalising PR. He has influenced and encouraged the growth of a qualified, respected and professional communications sector in the Channel Islands.”

President of the CIPR, Sarah Hall, said: “At the start of this very special 70th anniversary year, we wanted to celebrate the practitioners who regularly go above and beyond. Chosen by our membership and judged by an independent committee, we now have our fantastic 70 at 70. Thanks to everyone who gives their time so generously to help the industry and CIPR thrive.”

Orchard PR joint managing director Brooke Kenyon said: “This is deserved recognition for the work Steve has done promoting public relations as a profession in the Channel Islands and beyond.”

Another Channel Islands professional included on the list is Guy Le Maistre of Exposure PR, recognised for his role in supporting the CIPR CI committee since its inception.
