Local business trains charity volunteers

Local company Next Generation IT has given staff and volunteers at the GSPCA free training in cyber security.

NGIT has supported the Guernsey animal charity for the past eight years providing equipment as well as advice, training and support.

Client Services Director Matthew Hale regularly gives up his Tuesday evenings to walk around the shelter, updating systems and fitting new equipment.

"We cannot thank Matthew Hale and NGIT enough for all they do for us here at the GPSCA," said charity Manager Steve Byrne. "All of the animals' details are kept on software and cloud-based systems and with the hundreds of emails we receive every day there are many risks the GSPCA have to be aware of to help prevent cyber risks.

"We can highly recommend the cyber security training provided by NGIT and from all of the team and animals a huge thank you to NGIT for the wonderful support, training and all they for us which is really appreciated."

Next Generation IT is a privately owned Guernsey-based company which provides tailored IT services for the local business sector.
