Saffery Trust Associate Director, Matthew Gilligan has been named in the 2023 eprivateclient NextGen Leaders list, which recognises top talent among private client practitioners in the UK and Crown Dependencies.

Mr Gilligan was considered for the prominent list following his inclusion in the eprivateclient Channel Islands NextGen Leaders list earlier this year.

He has 16 years’ industry experience has been with the firm for close to three years. Alongside his role at Saffery Trust, he is also Deputy Chair of the STEP Committee in Guernsey.

He said it was an honour to be included in the list:“Having dedicated my professional career, and volunteered a huge amount of my personal time, to the progression of the industry, I am delighted to have been recognised as a NextGen Leader.

"I have been fortunate to learn from fantastic leaders before me, and I firmly believe that everyone should make contributions to leave a role or organisation better than they found it. I continue to strive to do this in all areas and look forward to continued progression.”

Mr Gilligan was joined on the list by 80 others, up from the now abandoned limit of 35 people per year.

Saffery Trust Managing Director, Nick Batiste, added: “We are proud that staff at all levels are at the forefront of industry across our offices. Matthew has proven to be an invaluable member of the team and is a fantastic example of what a leader should be.

His inclusion on this list is well-deserved and he should be proud of his contribution to the firm and to the wider industry.”
