Livingroom boasts continued growth

Thursday 06 June 2019

Livingroom Estate Agents has made four new appointments in Guernsey and reorganised its lettings team, with the firm saying it continues to grow.

Gill Bown and Justine Smith have both joined the agency’s Local Market sales team, Sarah Froome has been promoted to Residential Lettings Manager and Emy De La Mare has joined Livingroom to manage its brand and business development with particular focus on the Open Market in Guernsey.

Ms Bown joins Livingroom from an international legal practice and brings more than two decades of property conveyancing experience to Livingroom.

Ms Smith previously worked for an estate agency and for a local legal practice before more recently undertaking a pivotal role within the medical sector.

Ms De La Mare brings more than a decade of experience in international marketing, events and communications roles in both Australia and Guernsey. She is tasked with identifying new opportunities for the business. The newly created role will see her working closely with Livingroom Founder, CEO Simon Torode and the agency’s dedicated in-house creative and PR teams to ensure its properties are marketed effectively in Guernsey, Jersey and further afield.

Mr Torode said: “Justine, Gill, Sarah and Emy add unquantifiable expertise to our already impressive team of property and creative professionals. Their collective knowledge of island life and experience of working with clients across all sectors is of huge benefit to our business.

“When we launched in 2006 it was because we felt that vendors and buyers weren’t at the heart of the estate agency market and we’ve worked hard since then to prioritise customer service and keep customers informed at every step of the way. Adding to our existing team will contribute to that immensely.”

Ms Froome first joined the Livingroom lettings team in 2015 with intermittent periods of travelling before accepting the promotion to return to Guernsey and manage the Residential Lettings team. Mr Torode has welcome her back:

“Sarah brings fresh eyes to our lettings department but, crucially, will combine this with knowledge of our agency and the Guernsey market. We have a huge offering at Livingroom and Sarah’s return, coupled with Justine, Gill and Emy joining us, mean that we’re stronger than ever.

“With our Jersey expansion last year and our continued growth in Guernsey, Livingroom now offers what no other estate agent can - constantly increasing market share by sheer hard work and promoting the very best of the Channel Islands to the outside world.”
