Le Friquet Garden Centre has announced a new partnership with the Guernsey Hedgehog Rescue Centre.
The charity, which has been operating for nearly thirty years, provides specialist care and support to the endangered hedgehog population in the island, carrying out health checks, local environment surveys, and more.
This new partnership will see regular monthly donations of food and supplies being made to the centre to assist in reducing their ever-increasing operating costs.
“We are so pleased that Le Friquet Garden Centre are going to be supporting us in the work that we do.” said Dawn Robin, Founder of the Guernsey Hedgehog Rescue Centre.
“With their help we will be able to help even more hedgehogs which are in distress.”
Natalie Vile, Le Friquet’s Pet Department Manager added: "We are proud to add the rescue centre to our charity partners here at Le Friquet. Hedgehogs are an important indicator species for the health of our natural environment and need all the help they can get - we hope that others will join us in giving support to this excellent local charity."
