Julius Baer's new Head of Guernsey

Alexandra McInnes has been appointed as Julius Baer's Head of Guernsey.

Mrs McInnes replaces Stephen Burt, who is retiring after 18 years in the role.

Mrs McInnes has almost 20 years' experience in financial services, specialising in the banking industry. She worked in London, New York and Bermuda before returning to Guernsey, her home island, in 2018, where she has since been working for an international private wealth and corporate services provider as Group Chief Operations and Risk Officer.

I've enjoyed and been inspired by my interactions to date with the leadership teams across Zurich, London and Guernsey. I look forward to working with them and the fantastic local team as we continue to drive the business in line with the needs of our clients, our staff and the group.

"Stephen is an extremely hard act to follow, and I'd like to thank him not just for his leadership of the bank over the years, but also for putting a structure in place that is built for further success. Julius Baer has had a presence in Guernsey for more than 30 years. It moved into bespoke offices in Admiral Park in 2022.

It has around 140 local staff and works closely with the group's London operation as well as locations around the world to serve its local and global client base.
