Julius Baer to take on new Admiral Park offices

Wednesday 04 March 2020

Bank Julius Baer is planning to move to Admiral Park - to take on the new offices being built there, which will also include the planned Premier Inn and other facilities.

The new building is part of a much larger project, with the 100-bed hotel, a restaurant or cafe, a multi-storey carpark and all the associated infrastructure works such as a new access road.

"We are delighted that terms have been agreed with a very substantial global business," said Managing Director of Comprop, Steve Marie. "This further reinforces both organisations' commitment to Guernsey.

"We look forward to working with Bank Julius Baer to achieve completion of the site late 2021."

The agreement with local property developer, Comprop, will give Julius Baer 23,000 sq. ft of the 30,000 sq. ft space, as well as 115 car parking spaces.

"We have been working with Comprop on this scheme for a number of years and it is fantastic to see it finally coming to fruition," added Jo Watts of Watts Property Consultants.

"Providing such a high quality office for Julius Baer will truly underpin Admiral Park as Guernsey's key Financial Services Centre."

Guernsey Branch Manager of Bank Julius Baer, Steve Burt commented: "We are very excited to be working with Steve and his team at Comprop. The completed premises will provide a state of the art environment for our clients and staff.

"Entering into a long lease agreement also underscores the bank's commitment to the island and further endorses its position as an international finance centre."
