IQ-EQ Guernsey names new client services director

A local investor services group has announced the return of Jacques Vermeulen to its funds business, following a two-year secondment in the United States.

Having returned at the end of 2020, he is now a part of Guernsey's leadership team as a Client Services Director.

"This secondment gave me the opportunity to lead a diverse team and gain exposure to emerging markets such as Brazil and Peru. I'm looking forward to using my international experience and contacts to drive new opportunities for the Guernsey business."

Mr Vermeulen will be focused on driving the business development strategy for the jurisdiction, while managing key intermediary relationships and supporting other Client Service Directors. He will also maintain his US connections and will - pandemic permitting - be travelling to the UK, US, Europe and beyond to promote IQ-EQ Guernsey's fund offering.

"We're delighted to welcome Jacques back to the Guernsey business, as the island's funds industry becomes increasingly prominent on the world stage, and as we at IQ-EQ continue to build our profile," said David Preston, Managing Director of IQ-EQ Guernsey.

"I'm excited to see the fresh and innovative ideas Jacques will bring with his newly-gained international experience, and look forward to working closely with him and the rest of the local leadership team to take our Guernsey operation to new heights."
