The Guernsey International Insurance Association (GIIA) has, for the first time, joined forces with AIRMIC to stage a one-day conference in Guernsey.
Titled ‘Positioning for the Future’, the free-to-attend conference in June will focus on future geopolitical concerns.
Delegates will hear from different speakers at both sessions with nine different breakout sessions before a summer gala dinner.
The keynote speaker will be General Sir Richard Shirreff, who was NATO’s Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe, and is the Co-Founder Of Strategia Worldwide Global Geopolitical & Strategy Think Tank. He's also the Bestselling Author Of ‘War With Russia’ and an Honorary Fellow Of Oxford University.
Julia Graham, CEO of Airmic, said there'll be lots to learn from Sir Richard and the other speakers.
"There is a joint benefit of knowledge, understanding and sharing between Airmic and Guernsey’s insurance industry. Where else would you want to hold a joint event other than the beautiful island of Guernsey?"
GIIA Chair Adele Gale added: "GIIA are delighted Airmic decided to co-host an event in Guernsey this year. Captives are part of the risk management infrastructure that businesses use to meet the challenges and opportunities of tomorrow and we hope the conference will support companies to ensure they are match fit and their captives ready to step up."
