Volunteers from HSBC have donated their time to help keep Herm a pristine place for visitors.
A team of a dozen staff from HSBC in Guernsey helped to plant hedges and clean the beaches in Herm recently.
The team of staff travelled to the island on a Saturday in July and, despite the extremely hot weather, helped to plant hedgerows around the Seagull Campsite and collect litter from Belvoir beach.
The initiative formed part of the Bank’s scheme to grant staff leave to volunteer for local community projects.
Carrie Ng, Head of Commercial Banking for HSBC in Guernsey and who formed part of the group, said: “It was a very hot Saturday but nothing can stop us! The team thoroughly enjoyed the experience and it was a very worthwhile way to give back to our local community.”
