In-house Refrigeration new AFM service

Wednesday 31 October 2018

AFM is adding to its range of facilities services, by starting to operate an In-house Refrigeration Service.

The new service will be aimed at commercial clients, and will cover all aspects of design, supply, installation and maintenance of a refrigeration plant and any equipment needed for it.

The Guernsey-based team of four experienced Installation and Service Engineers will be led by AFM’s newly appointed Refrigeration Manager, Alan Le Page. Mr Le Page is highly experienced in his field and joins AFM from Mercury Distribution.

This new capability means that AFM can offer retail, food preparation and distribution, logistics, hospitality and clinical clients a full range of refrigeration services. This includes planned preventative maintenance, fault monitoring, 24/7 emergency call out and design consultancy to ensure that an optimal solution is achieved for any project.

Mr Le Page said: “In joining AFM, this is a major step forward in terms of the service we can provide to on-island refrigeration plant owners and operators. As demand for design and installation services has grown, so too has the demand for additional skilled labour. AFM’s wider engineering teams are well placed to expedite the Refrigeration team in meeting the business-critical needs of clients.”

Mark Edgar, AFM’s Managing Director added: “We are really pleased to be adding Refrigeration to our already diverse range of facilities services.  We know that this service is critical to many of our clients, particularly in retail as the desire for fresh food continues to grow. We look forward to rolling out our new capability to those clients who need it most.”
