Guernsey based creative launches new website and showroom

Wednesday 20 June 2018

A Guernsey based designer has launched a website and showroom to further develop her product lines, while offering them for sale locally.

Elaine Green has a number of items already available for purchase from her site - which went live a month ago.

Mrs Green said she had planned for the launch of stylistsown.co.uk with a "good few years of preparation and product development" by both herself and her husband, who is also her partner in the business, Elliot Green.

She started working out of her workshop, at the Rocquaine business park, in October 2017, while still maintaining her workshop at home where she finishes off pieces. Mrs Green said it has taken a while to get each part of the jigsaw in place but they now have a "wonderful new set."

Among her most popular designs, is her ball shaped cushion design (pictured above), which Mrs Green said she has produced with her own "very talented and experienced pattern cutter cousin Laura." Since their launch, a number have been sold and she said the stylistsown team are "really excited to see how they develop, as we are talking with some very influential style Gurus about them at the moment!"

She is also working on a number of new products under the working title of jewellery for the home.

Mrs Green said she has a real love of making really colourful pieces, which she has been able to indulge in since introducing glass enamel and crystals to her metal work portfolio.

Of the large number of products available to buy on the website, Mrs Green has a few favourites.

"I would have to say that my magnolia trees are very special to me. Using precious enamels on such a grand scale is so exciting and I am very fortunate to have clients who have enabled such ambitious projects come to life. As a maker, and particularly as I work alone, it is fantastic to work alongside a client on an idea and delivering the finished piece is very satisfying indeed."
