Following its recent rebrand, Focus HR Solutions is growing its team with two new appointments.
Sarah Savident and John Ioannou-Droushiotis have both joined the team as HR Consultants.
Ms Savident brings 20 years of senior level experience across multiple jurisdictions, having worked for a big accountancy firm for 19 years at senior management level.
A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personal Development and holding a Masters in Human Resources Management, Ms Savident has knowledge and experience in strategically working with employers to develop and improve HR processes.
She also promotes employee wellbeing and will shortly be qualifying as a mental health first aider.
Meanwhile, Mr Ioannou-Droushiotis joins the team from the Employment Relations & Tribunal Service. He brings experience in resolving disputes between employees and employers, and has also facilitated negotiations between trade unions and employers.
Mr Ioannou-Droushiotis holds a law degree from Exeter University and has advised employers and employees on Guernsey employment law.
"We are really excited about the future at Focus," said Co-Founder and Director, Katie Bellingham. "By enhancing the team with Sarah and John and introducing new packages and services to our clients, we are entering into a new chapter for the company, diversifying to meet the needs of employers and their HR challenges."
Focus has also expanded its service offering, with new mediation and training services as well as an HR database - Breathe.
"One of the challenges we find employers and small businesses are facing is the administrative burden of HR processes and the ever-increasing data protection risks," said Co-Founder and Director, Becky Machon. "The Breathe HR database is a one stop solution for keeping HR data secure while making processes such as annual leave, absence and performance management much more efficient and accessible.
"The database can be accessed via mobile devices so employees can access their information and make holiday requests without being desk based. We wanted to make sure we could provide a solution for employers that were office and non-office based, where their employees do not have access to a computer as part of their working day."
The firm will be holding an information information event for people to find out more about Breathe at the Guernsey Chamber of Commerce at 12:00 on 25 February.
